Isaac started Pre-school this year! It has been so exciting! He goes to Venice Christian School and is in the VPK program there. He is going 5 days per week, in the mornings only. He LOVES it! He's learning a ton and has a great time making new friends.
The "first day of school" pic.
He just LOVED it! The first day was a success!
Here is a picture of the writing station. His first assignment was during the Open House when he had to color the apple, write his name in it, and then cut it out. He did very well. :)
Here is Isaac's cubby! He shares it with another boy named, Jaxon. They had already known eachother from our old church, so that was a fun surprise!
(Try to sing the Jaws "da-dah. da-dah." in your head) This is the APPLE TREE. Each day the child's apple is placed on his/her "job". If you get in to trouble, your apple falls from the tree and you lose your job. PLUS, you lose the chance for the daily treasure box, and the BIG treasure on Fridays. Isaac had a perfect week 1. Then he chatted too much during circle time the following week and had a day without his apple. (I have a feeling that will happen every year until he's 18) And then we had a perfect week 3. And then? Well, this week a group of boys all thought the mops and brooms could be used for swords....no more apples for all them. (By the way... I think this is hilarious. As long as Isaac never hits, bites, punches, spits, or is mean to another child or the teachers....this is all fun for me to hear about!)
Fridays is "uniform" day. I secretly wish everyday was like this so we didn't have to decide what to wear. But I better get used to it! Friday's won't even be like this next year!
We are LOVING Pre-School! So glad Isaac is so social, and so eager to learn. We are very proud of him for doing so well. And its fun for Micah and I to go pick him up and eat lunch together! Micah misses his brother when he's gone. Isaac gets big grins in the backseat all the way home. Its great!
