Congrats to Dan!

As most of you know, Dan was hired as an assistant manager for NAPA Auto Parts last April. He was hired to work up in Bradenton, which is about 45 minutes to an hour north of us in Venice. Dan has been working hard, and loving every minute of it, and was asked a few months back if he would be willing to train in a program that would get him ready for a management position with the company. He was hand-picked for this class which had him traveling to Atlanta, GA, and up to Tampa. The program ends in February......

But? NAPA had a management position available ASAP in Port Charlotte (only 15 minutes south!) and they offered the job to Dan! Last Thursday, Dan had a meeting with his bosses and they let him know that they still want him to complete his training, but could he please take this on at the same time?! OF COURSE! Dan is thrilled (as am I!) and started the next day in Port Charlotte with his very own store. I am SO proud of Dan and for his hard work and quick growth in the company, and so are our friends/family down here in Florida. So? Why not throw Dan a surprise party to let him know we're happy for him!?

My mom, Neil and Kathy, and I decided to do a "dinner"....salad, pizza, and champagne! 8 adults and 5 kids later we had a party! Here are some fun pictures from a fun night. :)

Yes indeed. We actually sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and toasted Dan the Man! I actually had to find my wedding champagne glasses and polish them!
