First of all....Dan turned 30! He had the flu so there wasn't much celebrating...except for the fact that the week after his birthday he got a new JOB! I'm not sure if you all remember (or knew Dan 5 years ago) when Dan worked for Carquest Auto Parts? It just so happened that Carquest hasn't had any oppurtunities for Dan to re-join their team locally. They had asked Dan to take a store up in Clearwater but it was much too far to travel, so Dan turned it down. The Monday after Dan's birthday Napa posted an opportunity in North Sarasota (Carquest's competitor)...and after only a few days of interviews and meetings they offered Dan the job! After a little negotiating both parties were happy and Dan was finishing up his last days in the construction world. The best part is...they offer FULL benefits after 90 days! WOO HOO! The job is great and Dan is really happy! We have all been adjusting to the new schedule as the hours are much longer, but we are in a nice routine now. :)
Dan and I decided after much thought and prayer to find a new church. We had been attending our church for almost 2 years but felt like it was the right time to move on and find a church closer to our home, and hopefully find one with some children and younger couples for our own entertainment! We have started the hunt for a new church and hope to find one and settle in shortly!

My "little sis" Katrin was in town for a week! Kat was down for a visit when Isaac was 4 weeks old and she was given the chance to come down for another visit before she starts her next "round" of classes. We had a great time - mostly Isaac was in heaven with all the undivided attention and the two of them hit it off. It was sad to say good-bye, as usual.
I hadn't cut my hair since Isaac was 4 weeks old! I had decided a long time ago to grow it as long as I could and then chop it off for Locks of Love. (Locks of Love is the company that makes wigs for Child Chemo Patients) My neighbor has a salon up in Maryland and promised me that she would cut and style my hair when she was here on vacation in April...so I've been waiting and waiting! Sure enough...she did the chop! It ended up being 13 inches long!!! They require 10 inches to make a wig...so I was very happy that I was able to donate more.

Here is my new "look". I promise over the next couple of days to update all the pictures I have starting with Dan's birthday weekend! Thanks for your patience!
