Dan's first year of cake...

Dan has been waiting a year to make Isaac's first birthday cake. It must be a family tradition because we've recently found out that all of his cousins (boy cousins!) have made their sons/daughters cakes, too! We decided to have a "safari party" with an animal theme for Isaac's first party. Dan decided to make, from scratch, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. He used one of the paper plates to construct a lion for Isaac. He worked all morning and I can honestly say that I was impressed with the final result. Not only was it delicious - it was adorable!

Here's the final result. This was all for Isaac! He made a seperate cake for everyone else.
